Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Cream the butter, light brown sugar, and granulated sugar in a mixer for 2 minutes.
- Scrape down the bowl and mix for an additional 2 minutes until creamy.
- Add the egg and mix until incorporated, then add salt, maple syrup, and vanilla.
- Mix in flour, baking soda, and cornstarch on low speed, then fold in chocolate chips and chunks.
- Form the dough into 2-ounce balls and place them on the baking sheet.
- Freeze the dough balls for 45 minutes to 1 hour.
- Bake for 18-20 minutes until edges are lightly browned, then cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
