Instructions
- Prepare the dough by whisking warm milk, sugar, and yeast, then let it sit until foamy.
- Beat in remaining sugar, softened butter, eggs, and salt, then gradually add flour until the dough pulls away from the sides.
- Knead the dough for about 5 minutes until soft and slightly tacky.
- Let the dough rise in a greased bowl for about 2 hours or until doubled in size.
- Punch down the dough and roll it out into a 12x18-inch rectangle.
- Spread softened butter on the dough, sprinkle with cinnamon and brown sugar, and top with chopped apples.
- Roll the dough tightly into a log and cut into 12 equal rolls.
- Place rolls in a greased baking pan and let rise for 45-60 minutes until puffy.
- Preheat the oven and bake the rolls until lightly browned, about 25 minutes.
- Prepare the icing by whisking together the icing ingredients and drizzle over warm rolls.
