Ingredients

The dough

  • 1 cup whole milk
  • cup granulated sugar
  • Tablespoons Platinum Yeast
  • ½ cup unsalted butter
  • 2 large eggs
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • cups all-purpose flour

The filling

  • 6 Tablespoons unsalted butter
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • Tablespoons ground cinnamon
  • 2 cups peeled chopped apples

The icing

  • 1 cup confectioners’ sugar
  • ½ teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 2 Tablespoons milk
  • 2 Tablespoons salted caramel

Instructions

  1. Prepare the dough by whisking warm milk, sugar, and yeast, then let it sit until foamy.
  2. Beat in remaining sugar, softened butter, eggs, and salt, then gradually add flour until the dough pulls away from the sides.
  3. Knead the dough for about 5 minutes until soft and slightly tacky.
  4. Let the dough rise in a greased bowl for about 2 hours or until doubled in size.
  5. Punch down the dough and roll it out into a 12x18-inch rectangle.
  6. Spread softened butter on the dough, sprinkle with cinnamon and brown sugar, and top with chopped apples.
  7. Roll the dough tightly into a log and cut into 12 equal rolls.
  8. Place rolls in a greased baking pan and let rise for 45-60 minutes until puffy.
  9. Preheat the oven and bake the rolls until lightly browned, about 25 minutes.
  10. Prepare the icing by whisking together the icing ingredients and drizzle over warm rolls.
