Instructions
- Preheat an electric griddle to 350°F.
- In a bowl, whisk together the granulated sugar, brown sugar, and cocoa powder.
- Stir in the flour, baking soda, and salt, then make a well in the center.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk, buttermilk, eggs, vegetable oil, and vanilla.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
- Butter the griddle if necessary and pour ¼ cup of batter onto it, spreading slightly.
- Cook until bubbles appear on the surface, then flip and cook until done.
- For the chocolate sauce, heat the heavy cream in a saucepan until it begins to boil.
- Pour the hot cream over the chocolate chips and stir until melted.
