Instructions
- 1. Whisk together flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt in a large bowl.
- 2. Make a well in the center and add milk, egg, and melted butter; mix until smooth.
- 3. Gently fold in the chocolate chips.
- 4. Heat a griddle or frying pan over medium-high heat, greasing if desired.
- 5. Pour or scoop approximately ¼ cup of batter for each pancake onto the griddle.
- 6. When bubbles form on the first side and the bottom is golden brown, flip the pancake and brown the second side.
- 7. Repeat with the remaining batter to make about 8 pancakes.
- 8. Serve hot with butter and maple syrup.
