Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine ground beef, egg, bread crumbs, pepper, salt, grated onion, and minced garlic.
- Mix gently until fully combined, then divide into 4-6 portions and flatten into patties.
- In another bowl, whisk together flour, beef broth, and water; set aside.
- Heat a lightly oiled skillet over medium-high heat and cook the patties for 2 minutes on each side until browned. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add butter, mushrooms, onion, thyme, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, and creole seasoning, and sauté for 6 minutes until tender.
- Add the prepared gravy mixture to the skillet and bring to a boil.
- Return the patties and any drippings to the skillet, season with salt and pepper as desired.
- Cover, reduce heat to low, and simmer for 8-10 minutes, adjusting thickness with more stock or water if needed.
