Instructions
- Soak the pork rinds (or breadcrumbs) in heavy cream to make a panade.
- Combine ground beef, Worcestershire sauce, steak seasoning, parsley, and the soaked pork rinds in a bowl and mix until just combined.
- Form the mixture into 4 patties and season with salt and pepper.
- Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and cook the patties for about 3 minutes on each side, then remove and cover with foil.
- In the same skillet, add butter and mushrooms, cooking for 1 minute, then add onions and cover for another minute.
- Stir in beef base, whisky, and water, scraping up browned bits from the pan.
- Add heavy cream and any juices from the patties, simmer until the sauce thickens, then adjust seasoning.
- Serve the gravy over the hamburger steaks.
