Ingredients

The dough

  • 1 pound hot dogs
  • 1 ½ cup mozzarella cheese
  • 2 oz cream cheese
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 ¼ cup almond flour
  • 2 tablespoon whey protein powder
  • ¼ teaspoon baking soda

The topping

  • 1 large egg (beaten with 2 teaspoons of water)
  • to taste sesame seeds (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F and prepare a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper.
  2. Dry the hot dogs with a paper towel.
  3. In a microwave-safe bowl, combine mozzarella and cream cheese, and microwave until melted.
  4. Mix the melted cheese with an egg in a food processor until smooth.
  5. Add the dry ingredients to the cheese mixture and process until a sticky dough forms.
  6. Wrap the dough around each hot dog, ensuring to leave some ends exposed.
  7. Brush the wrapped hot dogs with the egg wash and sprinkle with sesame seeds if desired.
  8. Bake for 10-15 minutes until golden brown.
