Instructions
- Simmer sugar and water on medium heat for about 15 minutes until it reaches a deep amber color, swirling the pan occasionally.
- Turn off the burner and slowly add the cream while stirring.
- Add a pinch of salt and bourbon, then return to the warm burner for another minute while stirring.
- Transfer to a heat-safe dish or bottle and let cool.
- Store covered in the refrigerator and reheat before serving if desired.
