Ingredients

The chicken wings

  • 2 pounds chicken wings

The dry rub

  • ¼ cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 ½ teaspoons sea salt
  • 1 ½ teaspoons granulated onion
  • 1 ½ teaspoons granulated garlic
  • 1 ½ teaspoons chili powder
  • 1 ½ teaspoons smoked paprika
  • 1 ½ teaspoons ground cumin
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Mix all dry rub ingredients in a small bowl.
  2. Rinse the chicken wings, split them if necessary, and pat them dry.
  3. Rub the chicken wings thoroughly with the dry rub.
  4. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat (350º-400ºF).
  5. Place the wings on the grill and cook for 6-8 minutes, turning occasionally.
  6. Move the wings to indirect heat and close the lid, cooking for another 8-10 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
