Instructions
Combine masa harina and salt in a mixing bowl.
Add 1½ cups of hot water and stir until a dough forms, adjusting with more water if necessary.
Cover the dough with a damp towel and let it rest for 1 hour.
Shape the dough into golf ball-sized balls.
Heat a cast iron skillet or griddle over medium-high heat.
Flatten each ball using a tortilla press or rolling pin between parchment paper.
Cook the tortillas on the hot skillet for 1 minute on each side.
Transfer cooked tortillas to a plate lined with a cloth to keep warm.
Repeat until all dough is used, then serve or store.
