Ingredients

  • 2 cups masa harina
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • cups warm water
  • to taste spray olive oil

Instructions

  1. Mix masa harina and salt together.
  2. Add warm water and stir until dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough if necessary and form it into a log.
  4. Cut the log into twelve equal pieces and roll each piece into a ball.
  5. Flatten the balls and cover with plastic wrap.
  6. Heat a cast iron skillet over medium-high heat.
  7. Use a tortilla press to flatten each dough ball into a tortilla.
  8. Cook each tortilla in the skillet for about 1 minute on each side.
  9. Keep the cooked tortillas warm and covered until all are done.
