Instructions
- Simmer the apple cider in a small saucepan until reduced to about ½ cup, then cool.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F and grease a donut pan.
- Whisk together the dry ingredients in a large bowl.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the wet ingredients.
- Combine the wet and dry mixtures until smooth.
- Spoon the batter into the donut pan, filling each about halfway.
- Bake for about 12 minutes until lightly browned.
- Cool the donuts on a wire rack.
- Prepare the topping by mixing sugar, cinnamon, and apple pie spice in one bowl and melted butter in another.
- Dip each donut in melted butter and roll in the sugar mixture before serving.
