Ingredients

The Beef Tips

  • 2 pounds cubed beef
  • to taste none salt
  • to taste none freshly ground pepper
  • ¼ cup flour
  • 3 tablespoons neutral oil (such as avocado oil)

The Gravy

  • 1 onion chopped
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch

Instructions

  1. 1. Season the cubed beef with salt and pepper, then coat with flour.
  2. 2. Heat oil in a large pot over medium-high heat and brown the beef tips on all sides, then remove from the pot.
  3. 3. Reduce heat to medium and cook the chopped onion until softened.
  4. 4. Add Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper to the pot with the onion.
  5. 5. Whisk together beef broth and cornstarch in a small bowl, then pour into the pot and stir well.
  6. 6. Return the seared beef tips to the pot and cook until the gravy thickens and the beef is cooked through.
