Instructions
- Whisk together the dry ingredients and spices in a medium bowl and set aside.
- In a stand mixer, beat the melted butter, brown sugar, and white sugar until fluffy.
- Add the eggs one at a time and then the vanilla extract, mixing until combined.
- Gradually add the flour mixture and mix until no flour specks remain.
- Fold in the chocolate chunks and chill the dough for at least 1 hour.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Scoop the cookie dough onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing them apart.
- Bake for 7 to 8 minutes until light to medium brown, then sprinkle with salt.
