Ingredients

The chicken tenders

  • 1 lb boneless skinless chicken tenderloins

The breading

  • 1 ½ – 2 cups blanched almond flour
  • 1 teaspoon fine grain sea salt or seasoned salt blend
  • 1 teaspoon ground turmeric
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 large egg

Instructions

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 370°F or the oven to 400°F.
  2. In a bowl, mix the almond flour, salt, turmeric, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper.
  3. In another bowl, whisk the egg.
  4. Coat each chicken tender in the egg, then dredge in the almond flour mixture.
  5. Place the coated chicken strips in the air fryer or on a lined baking sheet for the oven.
  6. Air fry for 15-17 minutes, flipping halfway through, or bake for 20-22 minutes, also flipping halfway.
  7. Ensure the internal temperature reaches 163°F, then let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
