Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 450 degrees F and place a wire rack over a rimmed baking sheet.
- Scrub and rinse each potato, then pierce each potato 6 times with a fork.
- In a large bowl, whisk together warm water and salt until dissolved, then roll each potato in the salt water mixture.
- Transfer the potatoes to the wire rack and bake until the center registers 205 degrees F.
- Brush the potatoes with vegetable oil and return to the oven for an additional 10 minutes.
- Remove from the oven, cut a slit across each potato to release steam, and serve with desired toppings.
