Ingredients

The hot dogs

  • 8 pieces hot dogs
  • 1 pound Angus all beef hot dogs
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

The buns

  • 8 pieces hot dog buns
  • 1 type potato or brioche hot dog buns

Instructions

  1. Coat the hot dogs in olive oil, salt, and black pepper.
  2. Fill the smoke tube with your choice of wood chips.
  3. Place the hot dogs in the preheated smoker and cook for 45 minutes.
  4. Remove the hot dogs from the smoker and place them in buns.
  5. Serve with your favorite condiments and toppings.
