Paleo Bananas Foster

The bananas and sauce

The ice cream

full fat coconut milk

Instructions
- Melt the butter and coconut or maple sugar in a saucepan over medium-low heat, stirring until combined.
- Add 1 to 2 tablespoons of coconut milk to the mixture to create a creamy sauce and stir until smooth.
- Reduce the heat to low and add the banana rounds, stirring and letting it simmer.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the coconut milk, maple syrup, vanilla, and salt.
- Transfer the mixture to an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer's instructions.
- Stir the banana sauce occasionally while the ice cream churns.
- Once the ice cream is ready, serve by placing some bananas and sauce in a bowl, adding the ice cream, and topping with more bananas and sauce.
