Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 300°F and prepare an 8 by 4-inch bread pan with non-stick spray.
- Melt the butter in a microwave-safe bowl and let it cool slightly.
- Mix in the sugar, followed by the egg and vanilla extract.
- Add the flour and cocoa powder, mixing until just combined. If using, fold in the chocolate chips.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
- Bake for 19 to 23 minutes until set, then cool for 15 to 20 minutes before serving.
