Ingredients

The main ingredients

  • 12 strips bacon
  • 12 pieces Brussels sprouts

The glaze

  • ¼ cup pure maple syrup
  • 4 teaspoons balsamic vinegar
  • ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper

For finishing

  • to taste flaky sea salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F and line a baking sheet with aluminum foil.
  2. Mix the maple syrup, balsamic vinegar, and cayenne in a small bowl.
  3. Brush one side of each bacon strip with the maple mixture.
  4. Wrap each Brussels sprout half with a bacon strip and secure with a toothpick.
  5. Place the wrapped sprouts on the baking sheet and brush or dunk them in the remaining glaze.
  6. Sprinkle with flaky sea salt and bake for 20 to 25 minutes until the bacon is crisp.
  7. Let cool slightly before serving warm.
