Ingredients

The Brussels Sprouts

  • 8 cups brussels sprouts, halved
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon pepper

The Bacon

  • 1 lb thick-cut bacon, sliced into 1-inch chunks
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400ºF.
  2. Wash the Brussels sprouts and pat them dry. Trim the ends and cut them in half.
  3. Place the Brussels sprouts on a baking sheet, drizzle with olive oil, and season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Toss to coat.
  4. Roast the Brussels sprouts for 15 minutes, then toss and roast for another 10-15 minutes until golden brown.
  5. While the Brussels sprouts are roasting, slice the bacon into 1-inch chunks and cook in a pan over medium/high heat for 8-10 minutes until fully cooked.
  6. Drain excess grease from the bacon and mix in maple syrup.
  7. Once the Brussels sprouts are done, combine them with the bacon and serve immediately.
