Oven-Roasted Brussels Sprouts with Bacon

Ingredients

  • 1 pound Brussels sprouts
  • 4 ounces diced bacon or pancetta
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon cracked black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 2 cloves garlic

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F and grease a large sheet pan.
  2. Trim the ends of the Brussels sprouts and cut them in half.
  3. In a bowl, toss the Brussels sprouts with bacon, olive oil, salt, and pepper.
  4. Spread the mixture in a single layer on the sheet pan and roast for 25-30 minutes, turning once.
  5. Once tender with charred edges, remove from the oven and toss with maple syrup and garlic.
  6. Return to the oven for an additional 2 minutes until the garlic is cooked.
  7. Serve immediately.
