Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F and prepare a 9x13-inch baking dish with parchment paper or foil.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the melted butter and sugar until mixed.
- Add the eggs and vanilla extract, beating until well combined.
- Stir in the flour, sifted cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt until combined.
- Transfer the batter to the prepared baking dish and smooth the top.
- Bake for 27-35 minutes, until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- Allow the brownies to cool completely before frosting.
- For the frosting, beat the softened butter until light and fluffy.
- Add the powdered sugar, cocoa powder, vanilla, optional espresso powder, and salt, mixing well.
- Add milk as needed to reach the desired consistency.
- Spread the frosting over the cooled brownies and add sprinkles if desired.
- Slice and enjoy!
