The Sauce

cornstarch
Instructions
- Whisk together eggs, salt, and pepper in one bowl, and mix flour with cornstarch in another bowl.
- Coat chicken pieces in the egg mixture, then dredge in the flour mixture.
- Heat oil in a large pot to 350°F and fry chicken in batches for 4-5 minutes until golden brown.
- In a saucepan, combine all sauce ingredients except cornstarch and one tablespoon of water, and bring to a simmer.
- Mix cornstarch with remaining water, add to the sauce, and bring to a boil while stirring until thickened.
- Toss the sauce over the fried chicken and serve with green onions and sesame seeds.
