Matcha Doughnuts with Almond Glaze

The almond glaze

powdered sugar

unflavored soy or almond milk

almond extract
For topping

finely chopped almonds
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F and lightly oil a 6 cavity doughnut pan.
- In a medium bowl, mix the flour, sugar, matcha, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, combine the milk, coconut oil, and vanilla, then mix with the dry ingredients until a thick batter forms.
- Pipe or spoon the batter into the doughnut cavities and bake for 10 to 12 minutes until the tops spring back.
- Remove from the oven and let cool on a rack.
- While cooling, mix the glaze ingredients, adjusting consistency as needed.
- Once cooled, dip the tops of the doughnuts in the glaze and sprinkle with chopped almonds.
- Allow to rest until the glaze sets, then serve.
