Ingredients

The coleslaw

  • 1 14-ounce package prepared coleslaw mix
  • ¼ small red onion, thinly sliced
  • ¼ cup cilantro leaves, chopped

The dressing

  • cup canola oil
  • 2 limes juiced (about ¼ cup)
  • 3 cloves garlic, pressed
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 ½ teaspoons ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon oregano
  • 1 teaspoon ground coriander
  • 6 dashes hot sauce
  • to taste kosher salt
  • to taste freshly ground black pepper

Instructions

  1. Toss the coleslaw mix with the sliced onion and chopped cilantro in a large bowl.
  2. In a small bowl or jar, mix the canola oil, lime juice, garlic, honey, cumin, oregano, coriander, hot sauce, kosher salt, and black pepper.
  3. Pour the dressing over the coleslaw mixture and toss to combine.
  4. Refrigerate for 30 minutes before serving.
