Pepperoni Pizza Pockets

Ingredients

  • 1 9-inch pie crust
  • 1ΒΌ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup pepperoni slices
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 1 large egg

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Roll out the pie crust into a 12-inch circle on a floured surface.
  3. Cut out 6 shapes using a 4-inch cookie cutter and place them on a lined sheet pan.
  4. Sprinkle cheese evenly over the shapes and top with pepperoni, leaving a border.
  5. Beat the egg and brush it along the border of the dough.
  6. Re-roll the dough scraps and cut out 6 more shapes to cover the pepperoni.
  7. Crimp the edges with a fork and cut slits for steam to escape.
  8. Brush the tops with egg wash and bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
  9. Serve immediately with marinara sauce for dipping.
