Ingredients

The filling

  • ¼ cup shredded 2% Mozzarella cheese
  • 16 slices turkey pepperoni, diced
  • ¼ cup diced white mushrooms
  • ¼ cup pizza sauce
  • ½ teaspoon Italian seasoning, divided

The pastry

  • 1 sheet frozen puff pastry, defrosted

The egg wash

  • 1 egg *
  • 1 tablespoon water

Instructions

  1. Sprinkle flour on a clean surface and roll out the defrosted puff pastry into a 12”x12” square.
  2. Cut the pastry into 9 even squares.
  3. In a bowl, mix the Mozzarella, diced pepperoni, mushrooms, pizza sauce, and ¼ teaspoon of Italian seasoning.
  4. Spoon the filling into the center of each pastry square and spread it diagonally.
  5. Moisten the edges of the pastry square with water, fold it into a triangle, and press to seal.
  6. Place the triangles on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  7. Mix the egg and water for the egg wash and brush it over the tops of the triangles.
  8. Sprinkle the remaining Italian seasoning on top.
  9. Refrigerate the baking sheet for 10-15 minutes.
  10. Preheat the oven to 400°F and bake for 15-18 minutes until golden.
