Ingredients

Marinade

  • 1 pound steak (sirloin or skirt)
  • 1 teaspoon coconut aminos or soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Steak Rub
  • to taste salt and pepper

Stir Fry Sauce

  • 1 teaspoon Better Than Bouillon Beef Base
  • cup hot water
  • 2 teaspoons coconut aminos or soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon brown sweetener
  • 2 teaspoons sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon ginger
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

Remaining Ingredients

  • 3 cups fresh broccoli, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon unsalted butter
  • 2 ½ cups riced cauliflower

Optional Garnishes

  • 1 tablespoon chopped green onions
  • to taste crushed red pepper flakes
  • to taste sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. Slice the steak into thin strips and season with marinade ingredients. Marinate in the fridge for at least 1 hour.
  2. Steam the broccoli by boiling water in a saucepan, adding the broccoli, covering, and cooking for 5-6 minutes until tender.
  3. Prepare the stir fry sauce by mixing hot water with Better Than Bouillon, then adding other sauce ingredients and stirring.
  4. Heat butter in a wok or skillet, add marinated steak, and cook for 4-5 minutes.
  5. Reduce heat, add stir fry sauce and broccoli, and cook until the steak reaches at least 145 degrees.
  6. Remove the beef and broccoli, add riced cauliflower to the skillet, and cook until soft.
  7. Serve the beef and broccoli with riced cauliflower.
