Ingredients

The tacos

  • 1 unit onion, diced
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 lb ground chicken

The taco seasoning

  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp paprika
  • ½ tsp cumin
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • ¼ tsp pepper
  • ¼ tsp sea salt
  • ¼ tsp oregano

For serving

  • to taste unit taco shells of choice
  • to taste unit chopped lettuce or cabbage
  • to taste unit chopped onion and cilantro
  • to taste unit shredded cheese

Instructions

  1. Prep the onion and mix all taco seasoning ingredients in a small bowl.
  2. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat, then add onion and cook for 3-4 minutes.
  3. Add ground chicken to the skillet, breaking it into small pieces, and cook until browned, about 7-8 minutes.
  4. While the chicken cooks, prepare your serving and topping items.
  5. Add the taco seasoning to the chicken and mix well to coat.
  6. Remove from heat and serve the warm chicken in taco shells with desired toppings.
