Ingredients

The popcorn

  • ¼ cup corn kernels
  • 1 stick butter

The caramel

  • ¼ cup corn syrup
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

The seasoning

  • to taste cinnamon and sugar mix
  • optional white chocolate

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 250°F.
  2. Pop the popcorn using an air popper and spread it evenly on two large baking sheets.
  3. Melt the butter in a saucepan over medium heat and add the brown sugar, corn syrup, and salt, stirring until well combined.
  4. Bring the mixture to a boil, stirring constantly, then let it boil for 5 minutes without stirring.
  5. Stir in the vanilla and gradually pour the caramel mixture over the popcorn, mixing well.
  6. Sprinkle the popcorn with the cinnamon and sugar mixture.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for about 30 minutes, stirring every 10 minutes.
  8. Remove from the oven and sprinkle with more cinnamon and sugar, and drizzle with white chocolate if desired.
