Ingredients

The steaks

  • 1 lb Ground beef
  • 2 tbsp Wholesome Yum Blanched Almond Flour
  • 1 tbsp Sugar-free ketchup
  • ½ tbsp Dijon mustard
  • ½ tsp Sea salt
  • ½ tsp Black pepper
  • 1 tbsp Olive oil

The gravy

  • 2 tbsp Unsalted butter
  • ½ large Onion (diced)
  • 8 oz Cremini mushrooms (sliced)
  • 2 cups Beef broth
  • 2 tbsp Sugar-free ketchup
  • 1 pinch Sea salt
  • 1 pinch Black pepper
  • 2 tbsp Cream cheese (cut into chunks)

Instructions

  1. Mix the ground beef with almond flour, sugar-free ketchup, Dijon mustard, sea salt, and black pepper until combined, then shape into four patties.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet and cook the patties for 4-5 minutes on each side until done, then keep warm.
  3. In the same skillet, sauté diced onions in butter until soft, then add sliced mushrooms and cook until softened.
  4. Add beef broth, sugar-free ketchup, sea salt, and pepper; bring to a boil, then simmer for 5-7 minutes.
  5. Stir in cream cheese until the gravy is smooth, then return the patties to the pan and spoon gravy over them, cooking until warm.
