Caramelized Onions

Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp Salted butter
  • 2 lb Onions
  • ¼ cup Chicken bone broth

Instructions

  1. Melt the butter in a large saute pan over medium heat.
  2. Add the sliced onions and 2 tablespoons of broth, then sauté for 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  3. Add 2 more tablespoons of broth to keep the onions hydrated and scrape the bottom of the pan to deglaze.
  4. Continue to sauté until the onions are browned and caramelized, which may take an additional 10-20 minutes.
