Instructions
- Melt the butter in a large saute pan over medium heat.
- Add the sliced onions and 2 tablespoons of broth, then sauté for 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Add 2 more tablespoons of broth to keep the onions hydrated and scrape the bottom of the pan to deglaze.
- Continue to sauté until the onions are browned and caramelized, which may take an additional 10-20 minutes.
