Instructions
- Slice the onions into even slices about ¼ to ½-inch thick.
- Heat a large skillet over low heat and add the olive oil.

- Cook the onions on low for 30 minutes, stirring periodically.
- After 30 minutes, add the salt, stir, and cook for an additional 20-30 minutes until golden brown and caramelized.
- Remove from heat and serve or store in the refrigerator.
