Ingredients

The French Toast

  • 12 slices brioche bread
  • 1 ½ cups whole milk
  • 3 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon salted or unsalted butter

The Topping

  • 2 tablespoons confectioner's sugar
  • 6 tablespoons salted or unsalted butter
  • 12 ounces maple syrup

Instructions

  1. Combine whole milk, eggs, ground cinnamon, and vanilla extract in a large bowl and whisk until mixed.
  2. Heat a griddle or frying pan over medium-high heat and melt half a tablespoon of butter on it.
  3. Dip the brioche slices into the egg mixture, ensuring both sides are coated, then place them on the hot griddle.
  4. Cook the bread for 3-5 minutes until golden brown, then flip and cook the other side until golden.
  5. Serve with a dusting of confectioners' sugar, warm maple syrup, and butter.
