Ingredients

Dry Ingredients

  • ¾ cup whole wheat flour
  • 1 cup quick cooking oats
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • ¼ tsp salt

Wet Ingredients

  • ½ cup coconut oil, melted
  • ½ cup coconut sugar
  • 1 ea egg, whisked
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tbsp almond milk

Add-ins

  • ½ cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. 1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  2. 2. Grease an 8x8 inch baking pan or a bread loaf pan.
  3. 3. In a medium bowl, mix together the flour, oats, baking soda, and salt.
  4. 4. In a large bowl, beat together the coconut oil, coconut sugar, egg, and vanilla.
  5. 5. Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and stir in the almond milk and chocolate chips.
  6. 6. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
  7. 7. Bake for 12-14 minutes (or 14-16 minutes for a bread pan).
  8. 8. Let cool on a wire rack before cutting into squares.
