Ingredients

  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • cup honey
  • ¼ cup unsweetened applesauce
  • 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • ¼ teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 cup old fashioned rolled oats
  • 1 cup white whole wheat flour
  • ¼ cup milk
  • cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F and prepare an 8x8-inch baking dish with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, beat together the peanut butter, honey, applesauce, and vanilla until smooth.
  3. Add the salt, then mix in the cinnamon, baking powder, baking soda, flour, and oats until combined.
  4. Drizzle in the milk and mix until incorporated, then fold in the chocolate chips.
  5. Transfer the dough to the baking dish and press it evenly, then bake for 16 to 19 minutes.
  6. Allow to cool completely, then slice and enjoy.
