Ingredients

The chickpeas

  • 2 cans chickpeas, rinsed, drained and patted dry

The seasoning

  • 1 Tbsp. olive oil
  • tsp. chili powder
  • tsp. ground cumin
  • ¼ tsp. salt
  • tsp. cayenne pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F.
  2. Arrange the oven racks in the top and bottom thirds.
  3. In a large bowl, mix the olive oil, chili powder, cumin, salt, and cayenne pepper.
  4. Add the chickpeas to the bowl and toss to coat them evenly.
  5. Divide the chickpeas between two large rimmed baking sheets.
  6. Bake the chickpeas, shaking the pans occasionally and rotating them after 20 minutes, until they are browned and crisp, about 35 to 40 minutes.
  7. Serve warm or at room temperature.
