Creamy Rice Pudding

Instructions
- 1. Boil water in a saucepan, stir in rice, reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer until rice is tender and liquid is absorbed (about 20 minutes).
- 2. Combine cooked rice, 1 ½ cups milk, sugar, and salt in a clean saucepan. Cook over medium heat, stirring often, until thick and creamy (about 15 minutes).
- 3. Stir in remaining ½ cup milk, beaten egg, and raisins. Cook for 2 more minutes, stirring constantly. Remove from heat and stir in butter and vanilla.
- 4. Serve warm.
