Ingredients

The vegetables

  • 1 medium red onion
  • 2 medium zucchini
  • 8 oz mushrooms

The steak

  • 1 lb grass-fed filet
  • 1 Tbsp olive oil
  • 1 Tbsp fat of choice

Seasoning

  • to taste garlic powder
  • to taste salt
  • to taste pepper

Instructions

  1. Chop the onion and zucchini, and combine them with the mushrooms in a bowl.
  2. Toss the vegetables with olive oil and season with garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Preheat the oven to broil.
  4. Heat a cast iron or oven-safe pan over medium-high heat and add your fat of choice.
  5. Season the filet with garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  6. Sear the filet in the hot pan for two minutes on each side, then remove from heat.
  7. Add the prepared vegetables to the pan and transfer everything to the oven.
  8. Broil for 5-8 minutes until the steak reaches your desired doneness.
  9. Let the steak rest for a few minutes before serving.
