Instructions
- Combine sugar, warm water, and yeast in a bowl and let it sit until foamy.
- Make a well in the flour on a flat surface and add the yeast mixture, yogurt, and oil.
- Knead the dough until smooth and shiny, then cover and let it rise for about 1 hour.
- Divide the dough into 8 portions and roll each into an 8-inch circle.
- Heat a skillet and grease it lightly with oil.
- Cook the dough in the skillet until it puffs and has burnt spots, then flip and cook the other side.
- Mix melted butter with minced garlic and brush over each naan.
- Top with shredded cheese and garnish with cilantro before serving.
