Homemade Naan
Ingredients
The naan

all-purpose flour plus more for rolling

white whole wheat flour

plain low-fat Greek yogurt or regular yogurt

water

unsalted butter

chopped fresh cilantro or parsley (optional)

For garlic butter

garlic, minced (about 1 tablespoon)
Instructions
- Mix the dry ingredients in a large bowl.
- Stir in the yogurt and add water as needed to form a dough.
- Knead the dough for 1 to 2 minutes, then let it rest covered for 30 minutes.
- Prepare melted butter or garlic butter during the last 10 minutes of resting.
- Turn the dough onto a floured surface and cut it into 8 wedges.
- Roll each wedge into a ball, then flatten into a circle or oval about ¼-inch thick.
- Cook each piece in a hot cast iron skillet for 1 minute, brushing with butter.
- Flip and cook for another minute until golden brown.
- Repeat with remaining dough and serve warm.
