Instructions
- Combine all ingredients in a large saucepan over medium-high heat and stir well.
- Once bubbling, reduce heat to low and let simmer, adjusting heat as necessary to maintain a gentle bubble.
- Cook uncovered for 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally. For deeper flavors, cook an additional 5-10 minutes if desired.
- Taste and adjust sweetness or spices as needed.
- Allow to cool completely before transferring to a glass container for storage.
