Ingredients

The cake

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 2 teaspoons vinegar
  • ½ cup vegetable oil
  • 2 cups water
  • ¼ cup rainbow sprinkles

The frosting

  • 2 cups vanilla frosting

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) and grease two 8-inch springform cake pans.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the dry ingredients and mix well.
  3. Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix until a thick batter forms.
  4. Fold in the sprinkles.
  5. Distribute the batter evenly between the two cake pans.
  6. Bake for 27-30 minutes until a skewer comes out clean.
  7. Remove the cakes from the oven and let them cool completely.
  8. Once cool, remove the cakes from the pans and slice each cake in half to create four layers.
  9. Layer the cakes with frosting, spreading ¼ of the frosting between each layer.
  10. Cover the exterior of the cake with extra frosting and let it sit for 30 minutes before serving.
