Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (177°C) and prepare a 9-inch pie dish or round cake pan with nonstick spray.
- In a large bowl, cream the softened butter and granulated sugar until fluffy, then beat in the egg, egg yolk, and vanilla.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, salt, baking powder, baking soda, and cornstarch.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until combined, then fold in the white chocolate chips and sprinkles.
- Press the dough evenly into the prepared pan and bake for 25-30 minutes until lightly browned on top.
- Allow the cake to cool completely before frosting.
- For the frosting, beat the softened butter until creamy, then add confectioners’ sugar, cream, vanilla, and almond extract, mixing until smooth.
- Frost the cooled cake as desired and serve, optionally with extra sprinkles on top.
