Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 425°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a food processor, combine the dry ingredients and pulse to mix. Add the chilled butter and pulse until the butter is pea-sized.
- Transfer the mixture to a bowl and gradually add the chilled buttermilk, mixing until a shaggy dough forms.
- Turn the dough onto a floured surface and pat it into a 1-inch thick square. Cut the dough into 4 pieces, stack them, and roll into a rectangle.
- Cut the dough into a 4x3 grid to make 12 biscuits and place them on the baking sheet. Freeze for 10 minutes.
- Brush the tops with melted butter and bake at 400°F for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
