The quinoa

  • 1 cup quinoa

The cooking liquid

  • 2 cups water or chicken broth
  • ΒΌ teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Rinse the quinoa thoroughly under cold running water using a fine-mesh sieve.
  2. In a large pot, bring water and salt to a boil.
  3. Stir in the quinoa, reduce heat to medium, cover, and simmer until water is absorbed and quinoa is tender, about 12 to 15 minutes.
  4. Remove from heat, fluff the quinoa, cover, and let it stand for 5 to 10 minutes.
