The quinoa

  • 1 cup dry quinoa

The water

  • 1 ½ cups water

Instructions

  1. Rinse the quinoa under running water for at least 30 seconds to remove any bitter flavor.
  2. Transfer the drained quinoa to a saucepan and add 1 ½ cups of water.
  3. Bring the water to a boil, then lower the heat and cover the pot.
  4. Cook the quinoa covered for 10 minutes.
  5. After 10 minutes, remove the pot from heat but keep it covered for an additional 5 minutes.
  6. Remove the lid and fluff the quinoa with a fork before serving.
