Ingredients

The corn

  • 4 ears sweet corn

The toppings

  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • to taste salt
  • to taste ground black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat the grill to between 300-350ºF and clean it.
  2. For corn in the husk, soak the corn in water for 15-20 minutes, then shake off excess water.
  3. Grill the corn in the husk over direct heat for 20-25 minutes, turning every 5 minutes.
  4. Remove the corn from the grill and carefully take off the husk.
  5. Spread butter on the corn and season with salt and pepper.
  6. For corn without the husk, remove the husk and silk, then grill over direct heat for 15 minutes, turning every 5 minutes.
  7. Remove the corn from the grill and add butter, salt, and pepper.
