Caramel Apple Cobbler

Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 425°F and butter a 13 x 9 baking dish.
- Peel and slice the apples thinly.
- Melt the butter in a skillet over medium-high heat, then add the apples, lemon juice, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt, cooking for 10 minutes while stirring often.
- Add the flour and cook for another 2 minutes, then remove from heat and stir in 1 cup of caramel sauce.
- Transfer the apple mixture to the prepared baking dish.
- In a bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt.
- Add ¾ cup of butter pieces and mix until combined.
- In a separate bowl, combine the milk and egg, then pour over the butter and flour mixture and stir until combined.
- Tear pieces of the topping and sprinkle over the apples, adding the remaining butter pieces on top.
- Cover with foil and bake for 20 minutes, then uncover and bake for another 20 to 25 minutes until golden brown.
- Serve warm with vanilla ice cream and the remaining caramel sauce.
